All About the Author:
Hi everyone! My name is Lauren and I have been a special education teacher for 11+ years. Not only have i been a teacher for over a decade, but prior to that I have been an instructional assistant, respite care provider, after school care provider and a nanny. I've spent almost 20 years working with children at school, in their homes and other environments.

I currently teach a moderate/severe self contained middle school class. Prior to this, I taught a 4/5 mild/moderate self contained class for 9 years. I have experience with all age groups as an instructional assistant including Pre-K all the way to adults. I also serve as an orthopedic impairment specialist, a mentor teacher and recently a Google certified teacher!

My heart has always belonged in special education and struggling learners. I have come to find and believe there is a lack of material for our struggling learners including but not limited to: special education, students receiving, intervention, English learners, etc. I set out on a mission to create material that is easy to "grab-and-go" (because let's be real, we have insane days) but is also successful and engaging. I can say with 100% certainty the products I post, I ONLY post because I have seen student progress myself and within my classroom. I also aim to provide easy progress monitoring so we can really hone in on specific skills and find out WHY and WHERE our students struggle.
Another highlight of my products are they are visually friendly. Let me explain. I have older students who are reading CVC words. Most if not all of the material I find that support CVC word work are aimed at a younger audience. Now, while I love some good clip art and cute worksheets, my students don't always. The material I create is meant to visually present as "more mature" for our older students who continue to require primary skills. I also have had students who love clipart SO much, that they aren't able to retain the information being taught because the clip art is TOO engaging!

Anyways, I love my job, I love my products and I love all of you who support our students and my little business here! Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns or just to chat about our kids and our wonderful privilege to be able to teach these students!
